Oldschoolgal, I believe the man is referring to using his personal vehicle to "do" the job. This is not considered the norm when you are an "in house" employee. Of course it is necessary to have the required liability insurance for your personal vehicle but if you look at the primes contract with the MSO you will most probably find that this does not meet the MSO's requirements. This is just another way that these primes (and I use that term loosely) can reduce their overhead and place the burden on the little guy.
