It's too bad there isn't something for the subs' protection when these slimes hide behind the Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection. This isn't unique to the Telecommunication Industry. Every industry has scumbags.
Prior to cable I worked in the private security / investigation industry. One of the companies I worked for was operating under chapter 11 protection. The big difference with this guys was that he was actually using for its intended purpose. PROTECTION! The only difference seen on our side (the employees) was that out checks said right on them, "Debtor in possession of bankruptcy" basically telling the bank to verify funds prior to dispersing them. Myself, and every other employee got every last dime owed to us before he finally had to close up shop. Unfortunately, he was put into that position by someone abusing Chapter 11 and he, like so many others, got shafted.
