Still the question: In house or as a sub at the new location? If applying as in house my earlier remarks would apply. As a sub contractor are you bidding or taking preset prices? Are you being asked for anything other than your company information so a 1099 can be sent at the end of the year? Where you asked for prior work refernces or did you give them already by voice or default. (You came in wearing the old company shirt)
It would be better if you could supply a list of known refernces to the new employer. The refernces should be ones that you have already screened. If person in charge at company A is okay with you do not list person b.
There is no law against bad references. As many on the bar have mentioned there are laws against libel, slander and defamtion of character. If you screwed up a job own up to it. It tis better they hear it from you than to find out from someone else and then think to themsevles "that &@#*#$&) lied to me" when in fact you did not mention anything.
