This is why there shouldnt be sub-contractors of sub-contractors.
if you were an employee, the dept. of labor would handle all your problems. but just because the contractor doesnt want to pay w/c or g/l or payroll taxes, he decides that you are a sub-contractor.....bs
I hope the IRS catches everyone who does this stuff. as an owner, I have a duty to pay my guys on time, and in full. and to take care of them. sure there may be chargebacks for bad work, but imagine the feeling of coming home with no paycheck and your have bills waiting for you.
