I worked the tail end of the BVU fiber to the business project, year before last, and found AE to be a pretty decent company. I was subbing from a sub as well, Bob Blevins & Alan Wingard, so needless to say that did not work out. AE seems to just project manage their contracts, subbing out all the labor. Guess if you get in under the sub closest to the money, your alright pay wise. Good thing with them, is they usually work for power companies, local and state government, and city projects, so the money tends to be a little better than cable.
