I thank you both. My questions have been answered. One of the problems I had was testing it from a window in my house. I think that I was in the mind set of it acting as an antenna rather that receiving satellite signal. I guess I figured if my police scanner and two way radio can do it so can the GPS. Luckily I started my first post with the disclaimer of me not knowing anything about satellite. Now that I know at least that much, I'll do some online searches and read a little more. Thanks again.
