WELL ACTUALLY I HAVE 2. ONE IS THE NEW KIND YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT (I THINK) THEY TOLD ME WHEN I BOUGHT IT, IT HAS THE SAME TORQUE AND SPEED AS AN 18v. (IT IS A 14.4) I DROPPED IT FROM THE ROOF OF A 2 STORY APT BUILDING. IT BENT WHERE THE CHUCK IS, NOW IT DONT WORK TOO GOOD.
I AM USING MY BACKUP WHICH IS ALSO A 14.4 DEWALT. IT IS THE OLDER KIND, A LITTLE LIGHTER WEIGHT TO CARRY, BUT...NOT QUITE THE DRILL MY NEW ONE WAS. IT WONT STAY LOCKED AT ALL. BUT HELL IT HAS PAYED FOR ITSELF. WHAT KIND DO YOU HAVE? I AM NOT TOO FAMILIAR WITH SPLICING, BUT I WOULDNT
IMAGINE THAT YOU WOULD BE CHANGING BITS AND SOCKETS AND SUCH BACK AND FORTH AS MUCH AS WE INSTALLERS DO (I MAY BE WRONG, TOO THOUGH. AS I SAID I AM NOT FAMILIAR) BUT CHANGING BACK AND FORTH SO MUCH THROUGH OUT THE DAY 6 DAYS A WEEK TAKES A TOLL ON THE CHUCK.
