DeWalt is made by B&D. That is how you can charge them. I would love to be able to take a new craftsman and dewalt and check them side by side and do the same with them when they are six months old of the same kind of use.
From your posts, I assume you are an installer. So you will use it for fastening drops, ground blocks, drilling 1/2" holes through wood, walls and on the occasion - concrete. Did I miss anything? And you may do this 3-4 times a day?
As a splicer, I will use mine to core between 50 and 120 pieces of cable a day, five to six days a week. I do not know if you are familiar with the effort that it takes to core, but it is quite a bit. I have felt like I almost broke my wrist when it has caught on a piece of 875 or 1250 Trunk and I was not expecting it.
I have not been an installer, but I would imagine splicing will take more of a toll on a drill.
Anyone out there done both?
