Vacum pot-holing is great. As stated there are some drawbacks!! Make sure you can get rid of the spoil some places are afraid whats in the truck. Front easment is the only place you will find it acceptable to use. By the time you drag the hose to the back yard you will find it would have been easier to hand dig. I have a machine that has been used for about two years no problems except for a few wear items. They are great for cutting a ditch into a hand-hole. You will also fing that a good crew will make less of a mess than with hand digging. Keep some small drop reel ends for covering your holes.
