May I comment please:
CPD has the potential to be created at dissimilar metal junction(s) in ANY connection where there is both forward and return signals present. BUT, only when there is corrosion present. Without corrosion this should not occur.
Yes, PIN connectors do give a more sound 75-ohm impedence connection and, if properly installed, will give just as good "water-tight" connection as "feed-thru' or visa versa. Craftmanship is the key to water-tight connectors that hold up over time and prevent the CPD problem over time.
