The problem I see, is most cable companies require quality installs, where sat. companies look for quantity. My company worked for this sat. co. and you would tell them you have 10 techs and tue-fri, you would have work for 4, but on Mon and Saturdays you would have work for 20, and they did'nt care if you could cover it or not. If we tried to give back some of the work then they backcharged us for every job we sent back.
Then we would recieve alot of service calls, and we were required to do what ever to bring it up to specs, for $40, even though it was installed by the customer or some hack installer that never even grounded it, or he installed it in the winter, and
his line of sight was into a forest that was clear in Jan. Now were suppose to realign the dish, rewire the ground, and rerun the inside line, because its the only way to get the customer back up.,The Sat industry is 20 years behind the cable industry, and unfortunately every cable installer that was tossed out for being a hack is now doing sat. installs.
