Since most 870 MHz system are designed with a 14 to 16 dBmV output at each multitap, do not be suprised to see the maximum multitap to be a 30 dB.Some cable system will never use above a 27 dB mlutitap. Let have a look at this..... 45 or 46 dBmV out of the amplifier at 870 MHz less 30 dB for a 30 dB multital will give 15 or 16 dBmV at this multitap 46 dBmV -30 dB = 16 dBmB output.
