Help with Insurance

Anyone out there who can help with a general liability and workmans comp policy?? We had insurance for eight years with West Bend when we lived in IL. Never had any problems until business being as it is my husband had to start traveling. As soon as they got wind of it they dropped us. We moved to KS and found an agent who knew the business and was very helpful finding a policy for us with Continental Western Group. Now an auditor called and wanted some info on the work we are doing. I was honest and told them our work in KS dried up and now he is in Virginia hoping to get back to our area as soon as work comes up. They dropped us! They also said some bs about 1099 subs versus employee ratio. How do you contractors who travel from state to state do it-who insures you? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
