At the time of your employment did you sign anything to the effect that you would be responsible for the stated deductions? Some companies do this to lower their cost of insurance. They can do it and make it part of your employment requirements. It really just depends on the state you're in. All states have an insurance question and answer line you can call to check out your area. I would start there first and see what they have to say.
