The first question you have to ask is, why hasn't the payment been made? Make sure all the proper paperwork on your end has been filed and they have no problems with your work. If problems exist they correct them and get them signed off. Since you don't own the equipment you installed, removing it could be taken as a criminal act and you could face jail time for doing it. Most small claims filed cost only $15.00 and you can file a claim up to $10,000 in some cases. I would also file a claim against whomever hired you for the same amount along with the GM of the system. It might cost a few bucks but when they're served I bet they come up with your money. Better than going to jail.
