There are other avenues to take other than removing what you've done...that will get you in trouble. Go to the prime and tell them the situation. If they wont do anything, call their corporate office. If they don't want to get involved, the next step up is the cable commissioner...if it's a small town, they might not have a cable commissioner, but someone there will talk to you...cable commissioner is at either city hall or the county office. After that, if it's under $3000 (in most states) go to the courthouse and file small claims against who owes you. You have to file in the state where the work was performed, or where the company is located. If it's over the small claims limit...go to a lawyer, not a collection agency. In the future...get a Dunn & Bradstreet report or credit report on who you want to work for...if they have liens or lawsuits, they'll show up on the D&B and credit report and for every ONE that shows up, you know there are probably a dozen others who didn't follow thru with their collections.
