Clint, you are on track with what was tha last big boom. I started humpin blackjacks in late '72. My first foreman from KY told me I had it and would be in this cable biz forever . I at a young age asked in wonderment "How long will the cable biz last??? His reply- As long as there are wood peckers flyin', there will be linemen. Well I stayed in and rode the trends, many times luck showed me the right moves, but I worked my ass off. Owned some companies and spent some time in house when it was slow. The last few years prior to 9/11 the money flowed in at a rate I could not spend fast enough. But I do not think it will ever be that good again. I changed to a new career, and at over 50 it was hard. I miss the biz, the people, the challenges.....but it is now, and will evolve into something very different. Best of luck
