You all have good insight to what's going on. For my two cents-- Since the MSO's switched from raise and run to Retro to save money, they have created future work. Feeder that was already 10 to 15 years old and already all banged up, is now expected to carry higher freq. There is enough kiss connectors out there to sink the Bismark. These systems are going to need constant sweeping to maintain competitve. The MSO's are cutting back their employees. A quality small contractor could fill this void.
As long as people keep building houses there will be extensions to do, but I agree that most major contruction is done.
In 5 years the technology will have advanced to the point will it will be time for major electronic upgrades to begin. Maybe at this time the economy will be booming again and the MSO's will consider replacing the coax by then.
