You hit the nail right on the head. The last several upgrades I've worked on all had the same MO.... They mismanaged them from the get go, on both sides, system and prime, then getting behind in their schedule, flooded it with any warm body they could sign, pushed for production numbers, knowing the product they were getting, again both system and prime, was substandard and tainted with gig lists a mile long, then once caught up, started pointing fingers at one another as to whose fault it was. Meanwhile, the hacks make a killing, leave and all that is left is a half ass system that some poor bastard has to try to clean up for peanuts, because the real money is long gone, and a whole lot of unhappy customers. I've met more than my share of people who couldn't wait to get cable modems, only to be totally disappointed in the product they were receiving. Gee, I wonder why this industry has turned to such a mess, and it damn sure isn't getting better any time soon.
