I agree with waiting; A+ is overrated. you can get it for $240, and pass a test, it in no way teaches or proves you have the skill to deal with customers. I do not have any certifications and have been installing modems for almost 3 years, and help train most of our installers, as well as troubleshoot modems. I have 2 weeks on the job training, and find it is 90% repetition. lastly, with more computers coming with XP, and an ethernet card pre-installed, it is increasingly easy to do. just my point of view.
