I disagree.
A+ in nothing. A+ will get you nowhere. A+ is not nearly as respected as you imply.
If one is situated outside the IT industry, A+ may have some weight because it implies that you know how to work the basics of a PC, a skill that, incredibly enough, is still lacking in too many. Within the industry however, it means nothing.
A+, N+, I+ = blah, blah, blah.
