Well, guys... some food for thought:
We're a filtered system with nodes ranging from 50 to 1500 subs a piece. Been filtered since certification. Now... we're systematically removing the filters with a service audit, up to 30 nodes a week.
The main push to do this is the self-install option for HSD customers, which is our fastest growing sub base.
We run IPPV, DOCSIS, and telephony. Our trouble ticket system monitors the upstream for significant BER issues, and so far only about 3-5% of the un-filtered nodes generated tickets. We have about 800 nodes out of 1010 left to do, I'll keep ya'll posted
