Re: feed thru connectors used in reverse system


Actually a feed thru connection, (if done properly), is a better electrical connection than a pin-type. The connection (set screw) is directly on the center conductor. With a pin-type you have more connections within the connector, so the direct point of connection is in the sleeve. With the old solid copper center conductor there was a potential problem with over tightening of the set screw, but with the copper coating that has been used on the center conductors now this is not the much of a problem. Pin-type are just easier to work with. Just as a 3-piece connector is easier to work with as compared to a 2-piece.(eek)
