Qualifications
Experience operating pneumatic piercing tools (moles/missiles), pipe rammers, or horizontal directional drilling (HDD) rigs (e.g., Vermeer, Ditch Witch, HammerHead). Ability to assess differing ground conditions (clay, rock, sand, cobble) and adjust tool speed, lubrication, or air pressure accordingly. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using utility locators to avoid striking existing underground infrastructure (gas, water, electric).
Other Requirements
For Missile Crews: must own a fully operational, reliable missile/mole system (e.g., HammerHead, Vermeer, or equivalent pneumatic piercing tools) suitable for standard fiber optic conduit sizes.

We are seeking an established, independent Underground Missile Crew / Trenchless Utility Subcontractor who owns and operates their own pneumatic piercing equipment. This is a contract-based opportunity with steady, high-volume project pipelines installing conduits and microducts for fiber optic infrastructure.
