Job Description
Seeking experienced subcontractor crews for an upcoming underground fiber optic project in Texas. Long-footage rural highway ROW build, production-driven schedule starting soon. Paid per unit (LF/EA). Multiple crew types needed — respond for one scope or several.
Scopes available:
Rock trenching / rock saw — mainline duct placement in limestone/ledge and caliche conditions
Directional drilling (HDD) — road, driveway, and creek crossings in rock; mud motor/rock tooling experience required; rates inclusive of tooling and fluids preferred
Cable pulling — high-count fiber (288ct–864ct) through multi-duct HDPE, slack management and racking
Vault/handhole placement — large-format HH sets in rock, marker posts, test stations
Specialty bore — crew capable of a long engineered water crossing with steel casing (respond separately if qualified)
What we’re looking for:
Proven production in rock — limestone ledge and caliche. Be ready to reference comparable projects and the daily rates you held
Crews with their own iron preferred (trencher/rock saw, 40–60k lb class drills, vac support); experienced operators for leased equipment considered
Telecom duct placement experience — multi-duct HDPE bundles, depth/grade compliance, proper backfill and compaction
TxDOT ROW experience — permits, inspector coordination, daytime lane closure discipline, traffic control compliance
Clean locate/damage-prevention record; 811 discipline a must (live gas in corridor)
GPS as-built / redline documentation capability a plus
Current GL/auto/WC insurance with COI meeting standard subcontract requirements
W-9, signed sub agreement, and references required before mobilization
Ability to start within 30 days and commit through completion
