Job Description
HTS installs fiber-to-the-home for major fiber providers. We're looking for dependable fiber install techs who want steady work, clear rates, and weekly pay for every unit they complete. You run your own jobs, and when your daily sheet is clean and coded right, you get paid for all of it.
What you'll do
• Install fiber drops from the terminal or vault to the home, underground or aerial
• Place and set temp and permanent drops, conduit, risers, and vaults per the provider's specs
• Call in and confirm 811 locates before any digging, and verify locate clear
• Restore yards, driveways, and landscaping so the job passes inspection
• Record every job on the daily sheet the same day: job ID/SA number, install date, footage, and the correct billing code for each unit
• Take required photos and flag anything that blocks completion (no locate, no access, damaged plant)
• Be professional and courteous with homeowners on site
What you need
• Fiber drop installation experience (underground and/or aerial) — [1+ year preferred]
• Your own reliable truck and basic install tools
• Ability to read work prints and follow provider install specs
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
• General liability insurance [minimum amount] and a W-9
• Smartphone for photos, daily sheets, and job apps
• Able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and climb ladders
