Qualifications
Prior experience with fiber drop burial and underground fiber installation is preferred. General experience with other telecom or utility burial work will also be considered.
Other Requirements
Must be fully equipped with own tools, a trencher/vibratory plow (or access to one), and a reliable truck. Willingness to pass a drug test and background check is required.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Bury fiber drops from the pole/pedestal/handhole to the customer premise per work order specifications.
Confirm utility locates before any digging and maintain proper depth per provider standards.
Reroute drops as needed and restore all disturbed ground conditions (lawns, driveways, landscaping).
Perform boring and trenching work with conduit placement where required.
Complete flowerpot/handhole placements, including gravel base and proper backfill.
Follow all safety standards and properly use required PPE and equipment.
Communicate professionally and courteously with customers on-site.
Accurately document completed work, footage, materials used, and job status per company reporting requirements.
Coordinate with dispatch and crew leads to manage daily schedules and job assignments.
