Qualifications
Experienced fiber/coax technicians with fusion splicing capability
Other Requirements
Truck, van or SUV in clean professional condition with ladder rack. 28ft extension ladder. Own fusion splicer, power meter/VFL, hand tools and safety gear. Smartphone with data. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Job Description
- Install a drop from pole/pedestal to NID
- Run fiber from NID to ONT inside the residence, mount and activate ONT and router
- Fusion splice at the NID/NAP
- Test and certify light levels, verify service quality before closing
- Troubleshoot and repair existing fiber services
- Complete work orders and photo documentation accurately the same day
- Educate the customer on installed equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe and professional job site
