$100+ per hour, depending on experience, equipment, and qualifications. 1099 subcontractor work. 40–72 hours per week expected. Hourly or day-rate bids considered.

Qualifications

Bucket truck or splicing trailer, PPE, safety gear (traffic cones, 2+ "Utility Work Ahead" signs), climbing equipment, active insurance (GL, Auto, Workers' Comp/waiver), and business documentation. Full-stack tier also requires EXFO OTDR, OLTS capability, ribbon splicer, and core-alignment single-fiber splicer. 3 to 5 photos of completed enclosure work required with application.

Other Requirements

Own truck/trailer, splicer(s), EXFO OTDR, OLTS, OPM, VFL, tools, PPE, and safety equipment required. Must have 2 “Utility Work Ahead” signs. Submit 3–5 photos of your splice work, including a terminal, butt splice, and high-count closure. Include company info, experience, equipment, availability, service area, and rate. Valid license, insurance, and business documentation required.

1099 Fiber Optic Cable Splicer | Full Setup

We are looking to add a qualified 1099 fiber splicing contractor to a current project in central Illinois while also building a network of experienced owner-operators for future work.

Experienced, self-equipped owner-operators capable of handling splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation independently.
