Pay
$3.30 per point. Technicians can earn between $1,500 and $2,500 per week based on experience, availability, and completed production. Paid weekly by direct deposit.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of cable or fiber installation experience. Fiber installation experience preferred. Mechanical and fusion splicing experience preferred. Must be able to complete residential installations independently, troubleshoot coaxial, fiber, internet, and Wi-Fi issues, pass a background check, and have a valid driver's license.
Other Requirements
Reliable truck or van; 28-foot extension ladder; Viavi 620 or 630 signal meter; fusion splicer and fiber-preparation tools when performing fusion splicing; fiber cleaver, strippers, cleaning supplies, and mechanical splice tools; drill, cable strippers, crimpers, cutters, security tools, standard hand tools, and smartphone. Contractor insurance required. We may assist qualified technicians with certain tools.
Job Description
IN Sight Networking LLC is seeking three experienced 1099 cable and fiber installation technicians for work in Dagsboro, Delaware.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install residential cable, internet, Wi-Fi, and telephone services
- Install and service coaxial and fiber-optic connections
- Run aerial and underground service lines from poles or pedestals to customers' homes
- Install exterior house boxes and complete proper grounding
- Route cable and fiber along homes and through basements or crawl spaces
- Install and activate IP boxes, internet equipment, phone service, and Eero Wi-Fi systems
- Perform mechanical fiber splicing
- Perform fusion fiber splicing
- Prepare, clean, cleave, terminate, and test fiber-optic cable
- Test signal levels and verify that all services operate correctly
- Complete assigned work safely and according to installation standards
- Complete assigned trouble calls
- Provide professional customer service
No wall fishing is required.
IN Sight Networking LLC may be willing to assist qualified technicians with certain tools or equipment they do not currently have.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
- Must operate as a 1099 independent contractor
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must carry the insurance required for independent contractors
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to work independently
