Contractor Position: Independent Fiber Drop Installation Subcontractor (1099)
Location: Southern Wisconsin (Verona / Sun Prairie / Surrounding Areas)
Client Project: TDS Telecommunications Network Expansion
Pay Structure: Per-Drop / Piece-Rate (Competitive Volume)
Opportunity Overview
Seeking experienced Independent Subcontractors (1099) to perform residential fiber optic drop burials across Southern Wisconsin. You will be responsible for providing your own equipment, tools, and transportation to complete high-volume underground drop installations to residential homes.
Responsibilities
• Bury residential fiber optic drop cables using plows, trenchers, or hand tools.
• Restore land and job sites to original condition post-burial.
• Ensure all installations meet client quality control standards and complete daily completion reporting.
Requirements
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance and General Liability insurance.
• Must supply own truck, trailer, line-plow/stitcher, and hand tools.
• Prior experience with fiber drop installations or underground utility construction.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by the primary contractor.
