Qualifications
Must be able to pass MVR, background, and drug screen. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, construction, utility operations, field coordination, or a similar role. Experience supervising field crews or construction teams. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, permitting, right-of-way coordination, and 811. Read, write, and communicate clearly in English. Experience with Smartsheet, and Excel. Submit and read locate markings and read ticket tracking.
Other Requirements
Experience operating directional drills, excavators, trenchers, or other utility construction equipment. DOT Certification or ability to obtain it. CPR, First Aid and OSHA Certified. Bilingual. Have a working mobile phone with an active phone number and email address.
Job Description
The Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting daily telecommunications construction operations through a balanced combination of field oversight and office-based administrative, project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and reporting responsibilities. This position serves as a key link between field personnel, construction supervisors, project management, and company leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with engineering designs, customer requirements, and company standards.
The Field Operations Coordinator will spend roughly half of their time completing office-based work and focus on maintaining schedules, reviewing and correcting daily reports, completing as-built drawings, tracking project status, managing documentation, and communicating project updates to management. The remaining half of the position will be in the field supporting construction crews, conducting quality control inspections, monitoring safety practices, reviewing completed work, assisting with locates, and providing daily operational support.
