Job Description
Role Description The Aerial Lineman is a full-time, on-site role based in Panama City, FL. This position is responsible for building, installing, repairing, and maintaining aerial telecommunications infrastructure, including strand, fiber, and coax on poles and other support structures. Day-to-day tasks include climbing and working at heights, pulling and tensioning cables, setting and transferring poles, using bucket trucks and other equipment, and ensuring safe work practices in accordance with company and industry standards. The Aerial Lineman will read and interpret construction prints, collaborate with field crews and supervisors, document work completed, and respond to service or maintenance needs in various weather and site conditions.
Qualifications
??Ability to climb poles and work safely at heights using ladders, hooks, and bucket trucks, with strong awareness of OSHA and company safety procedures.?Experience with aerial construction techniques, including strand placement, lashing fiber or coax, pole transfers, and related field operations.
??Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment common to telecom and power line work.
• Skill in reading and interpreting construction plans, maps, and technical documentation for CATV, telephone, and power projects.
??Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles and travel to various job sites as needed.?Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather and physically demanding conditions.
??Previous experience in aerial lineman, telecommunications construction, or related utility work preferred; certifications in line work or safety are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent: willingness to participate in ongoing training and adhere to company quality and safety standards.
