Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of OSP fiber construction project management experience Underground Fiber & Aerial Fiber Construction Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, Micro Trenching, Utility Coordination Ability to read construction prints and utility plans. Experience managing subcontractors and field crews Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver's license.
Other Requirements
Experience with Frontier, Verizon, Comcast, Brightspeed, Lumen, or other telecommunications providers. Knowledge of FTTH deployments Experience with permitting and municipal coordination.
Job Description
The OSP Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of fiber optic construction projects. This position is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience managing aerial and underground fiber construction projects
Manage multiple OSP fiber construction projects from kickoff through closeout. Coordinate with customers, municipalities, utilities, subcontractors, and internal field teams. Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets. Review project drawings, permits, and construction documentation. Track project progress and proactively resolve issues. Conduct regular job site visits to ensure quality, safety, and production standards. Manage subcontractor performance and productivity Prepare customer reports, progress updates, and project forecasts. Coordinate material procurement and equipment needs. Ensure projects comply with customer specifications and local regulations. Support project billing, change orders, and project closeout documentation.
