Looking for an experienced Field Supervisor for fiber optic underground construction projects. To start as soon as possible.
Pay
Competitive pay based on experience. Company vehicle/phone may be available for qualified candidates.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fiber optic, underground utility, telecom, or directional drilling work. Must understand 811, prints, locates, crew scheduling, safety procedures, and field production. Strong leadership and communication skills required.
Job Description
Supervise multiple fiber optic construction crews and subcontractors.
Coordinate daily field operations including directional drilling, trenching, excavation, fiber placement, and restoration.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Review construction drawings, utility locates, permits, and project specifications.
Conduct daily safety meetings, jobsite inspections, and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
Monitor production goals, manpower, equipment utilization, and project schedules.
Maintain accurate field documentation including production reports, as-builts, photos, and daily logs.
Coordinate with project managers regarding schedule updates, material needs, and project progress.
Interface with utility representatives, inspectors, municipalities, and customers as needed.
Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
