Job Description
The Fiber I&R Technician position is a 1099 independent contractor role. The primary function is to install fiber optic internet services, delivering high-quality work and providing product education for both residential and commercial customers.

Role and Responsibilities for Fiber I&R Technician
• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers
• Ensure proper performance of internet, phone, and TV services (if applicable)
• Complete pre-installation and post-installation verification, including customer education
• Install aerial and underground fiber drops, as well as interior and exterior wiring
• Follow all safety regulations and OSHA standards
• Work at heights using ladders and in confined spaces when required
• Support team members as needed
• Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with customers
• Adapt to new processes and technologies
• Use internal systems for work orders and time tracking
• Maintain scheduled appointments and meet performance metrics (productivity, quality, completions)
• Be available to travel or relocate based on project needs
Qualifications and Requirements
• Experience with fiber optic internet installation and home services required
• Must have own truck, van, or SUV with ladder rack
• Must have own tools and safety equipment
• Android smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S23 or newer preferred)
• Laptop with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills
• Reliable, accountable, and professional
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

This is a 1099 production-based contractor role. Rates will be provided upon application review.
