Job Description

Cable Technician – Koscom Cable, NH & VT

Koscom Cable is expanding field operations across New Hampshire and Vermont and hiring experienced cable and fiber technicians. We have a full, steady workload of residential installs, upgrades, and service work — this is long-term, high-volume production, not a short-term fill-in.

The Opportunity:
If you know how to run a route, close jobs clean, and handle your day without hand-holding — we want to talk. You'll work independently on residential cable and fiber installations, service calls, and troubleshooting. Dispatch is consistent and the work doesn't dry up.

What You'll Do:

•Run residential cable and fiber installs from tap to customer premise — new connects, upgrades, and reconnects.
•Troubleshoot and repair service issues end-to-end, from the terminal to customer devices.
•Install and configure ONTs, modems, routers, and TV equipment.
•Complete disconnects, downgrades, and audit work as assigned.
•Manage your daily route independently, on schedule, and to quality standards. Communicate clearly with customers and leave every job site clean.

What We're Looking For
Experienced techs (priority):
•Previous cable, telecom, or fiber installation experience. You've worked residential routes before, you know your way around a tap, and you can troubleshoot without calling in for every issue.

All candidates must have:
•Own work vehicle — WHITE truck, van, or SUV ONLY (strict client requirement, no exceptions).
•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
•Authorization to work in the U.S.
•Ability to climb ladders up to 25 ft, lift up to 75 lbs, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions year-round.

Compensation

•Competitive weekly pay based on production.
•Steady, high-volume dispatch — no gaps, no slow weeks.
•Long-term project stability in the NH/VT market.
•Independent contractor (1099). Monday–Saturday schedule.
•Standard 3-week credentialing period before first dispatch.
