Mobilization week of May 11, 2026 (contingent on completed badging). Project runs through end of June 2026. Must be available to start badging process immediately upon hire.
Pay
Competitive 1099 day rates based on experience. Per diem provided plus hotel covered for out-of-area crew
Qualifications
Minimum 1+ year fiber optic cable pulling experience (commercial/indoor preferred)
OSHA 10 not required to apply — LYT will provide certification upon hire
Aerial lift / scissor lift certification preferred (LYT can certify if needed)
Must pass DFW Airport background check and badging process (LYT covers badging cost)
Valid Driver's License with clean MVR
Reliable, on-time, drug-free
Spotters: prior cable pulling support experience preferred but not required.
Other Requirements
Reliable transportation to and from DFW
Willing to work night shift (7:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Willing to commit to full project duration (4-6 weeks) more work available to new workers that excel.
Job Description
LYT Communications, LLC is hiring experienced Cable Pullers and Spotters for an upcoming fiber optic cable installation project at DFW International Airport in Dallas, Texas. We need motivated, reliable crew members who can work night shifts and commit to seeing this project through to completion.
Project Overview:
Approximately 37,784 ft of fiber optic cable installation
Cable pulled through pre-installed innerduct and cable trays.
Night-shift only work (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Project duration: approximately 6-8 weeks
Start date contingent on badging (1-week lead time)
Positions Available:
Cable Pullers (Multiple Openings):
Pull fiber optic cable through innerduct and cable trays
Coordinate with spotter throughout the pull
Maintain proper bend radius and cable handling
Document footage pulled and identify any issues
Spotters (One Per Puller):
Assist cable puller throughout pulls
Watch cable feed at intake point
Communicate with puller via radio
Help with setup, cable prep, and cleanup
Operate scissor lift when needed (cert required or willing to obtain)
What LYT Provides:
All tools and equipment (specialized fiber pulling gear, scissor lifts, aerial work platforms — show up, we handle the rest)
OSHA 10 certification (and OSHA 30 / aerial lift cert if needed)
Hotel lodging for out-of-area crew (LYT books and pays directly)
Per diem for meals
DFW badging cost coverage
Weekly direct deposit pay
