Advanced Powering Services, Inc. is expanding our CATV and fiber network upgrade operations in the Moline, Illinois market and is actively seeking an experienced Splicing Coordinator to support one of the region’s most aggressive aerial, underground, and node upgrade programs. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating daily fiber and coax splicing activities, managing field crew schedules, ensuring print and as-built accuracy, driving quality control, and maintaining production flow between field operations, project management, billing, and customer closeout. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HFC upgrades, fiber splicing workflows, coax activation, node segmentation, testing, documentation, and contractor coordination, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Experience with OCIUS-X, map package management, field photo documentation, QC feedback loops, and customer billing package support is highly preferred.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required (associate degree or technical certification preferred)
2+ years of experience in fiber optic splicing, telecommunications, or utility construction
Prior experience coordinating field crews or projects preferred

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of fiber optic networks, including splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with fusion splicing equipment, OTDR testing, and fiber documentation
Ability to read and interpret construction prints, splice schematics, and GIS mapping systems
Knowledge of underground and aerial fiber construction methods

Skills & Abilities:

Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and crews simultaneously
Effective communication skills for working with field teams, contractors, and project managers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and project tracking systems
Ability to track production, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality control

Regulatory & Safety:

Understanding of right-of-way permits, utility coordination, and local regulations
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures for telecommunications construction

Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license (if field visits are required)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Flexibility to support after-hours or emergency work if needed
