Job Description
Fiber Optic Installation Technician (Contract) – New England Region
Job Type: Contract / 1099
Pay: Competitive / Per-Unit Full install $150 - $250
We are seeking motivated, independent Installation Technicians for immediate contract work across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
This is a Plug-and-Play deployment. We have streamlined the process to eliminate the need for fusion splicing on-site. If you have a truck, a ladder, and the right tools, you can start immediately. We value your skills and your privacy—no drug testing required for this contract position.
What You’ll Be Doing
Executing residential or commercial fiber "drops" using plug-and-play technology.
Mounting hardware and routing fiber lines from the pole/hub to the customer premises.
Using a light meter to verify signal strength and ensuring a clean connection.
Basic drilling for exterior-to-interior cable entry.
Ensuring all installations meet standards for neatness and signal integrity.
What You Need (Requirement Checklist)
To be successful in this role, you must be "tool-ready" from day one. You are required to provide your own:
Vehicle: Reliable truck or van capable of transporting a ladder.
Equipment: 28ft extension ladder (fiberglass preferred for safety).
Hand Tools: Power drill, high-quality wire cutters, and basic hand tools.
Testing Gear: Optical Light Meter (Power Meter).
PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, and work boots.
The Perks
No Splicing Required: Save time and hassle with pre-terminated plug-and-play setups.
Autonomy: Manage your route and work independently in the field.
Fast Onboarding: We are looking for techs who are ready to hit the ground running.
How to Apply
If you have the gear and the experience to handle New England terrain, we want to hear from you.
Apply today and let’s get you on the schedule!
