Job Description
We are actively seeking experienced Fiber Installation Technicians, MDU Cable Installers, and Fusion Splicers for ongoing intrabuilding fiber deployment projects across the United States.
We currently have multiple active projects nationwide and are expanding into additional markets.
We are hiring both:
• Individual Technicians
• Installation Crews
• Fusion Splicers
This is a production-based 1099 contractor opportunity with long-term project availability for qualified professionals.
Position Types
1- Fiber Installation Technicians
Responsible for pathway installation and fiber routing inside MDU environments.
2- Fusion Splicers
Responsible for floor terminal and unit-level fusion splicing.
(Some projects may require technicians capable of performing both.)
Primary Responsibilities
• Install fiber drops within MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) properties
• Run fiber using approved pathway methods (surface molding, microduct, invisible fiber)
• Follow Property Owner-approved installation methods strictly
• Perform clean, straight molding installation
• Maintain proper fiber routing and bend radius
• Perform single-fiber fusion splicing at floor terminals
• Perform fusion splicing at unit wall jacks
• Maintain professional finish work
• Follow safety standards and site protocols
• Maintain organized job sites
No ONT installation
No electronics activation
Fiber pathway and splicing only
Required Experience & Qualifications
• Proven experience in fiber installation (MDU preferred)
• Experience with pathway installation and molding work
• Fusion splicing experience (for splicer role)
• Ability to follow scope guidelines and property requirements
• High attention to detail
• Professional work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently or in a crew setting
Entry-level applicants will not be considered.
Equipment Requirements
• Own truck or work van
• Own fusion splicer (required for splicer role)
• Required hand tools
• Fluke tester preferred (required for certain scopes)
• PPE and safety equipment
• Smartphone for documentation and communication
