Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunication systems and network infrastructure at various customer sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity and reliable service delivery, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties
Install, configure, and test fiber optic cables, network equipment, and telecommunication systems according to project specifications.
Perform fiber splicing and cable management to ensure optimal signal integrity and system performance.
Set up and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, Ethernet connections, and telephony systems in diverse environments.
Use hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to verify proper wiring, cabling continuity, and low voltage connections.
Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and optimize network performance on-site.
Follow safety protocols related to electrical work and low voltage systems while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Document installation processes, system configurations, and service reports accurately for project records.
Qualifications
Proven experience in field service or technical installation roles within telecommunication or networking industries.
Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques, cabling standards, and mechanical installation practices.
Familiarity with Cisco routers, Ethernet networking, telephony systems, and computer networking fundamentals.
Ability to operate hand tools efficiently and safely in various environments.
Electrical experience with low voltage wiring, circuit testing, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
