Qualifications
- Ribbon and Single splicing, excellent knowledge with OTDR, OLTS, CD/PMD (preferably Exfo)

Job Description
This is for a level II or III fiber tech position (depending on experience). Run the following Fiber Characterization tests
Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR).
Chromatic Dispersion (CD).
Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD).
Optical Return and Power Loss (using OLTS).
Identify out-of-spec splice points and jumpers.
Work with customer should they want them fixed and re-spliced.
Scope and clean fibers to ensure they are clean.
Fiber splicing
Loose Tube.
Ribbon.
Both ISP and OSP.
Run fiber jumpers between panels.
Keep accurate detailed notes.
Document Fiber Panels.
Meet or exceed customer and internal documented acceptable levels of quality.
Work with supervisor for scheduling and updates.
Self-supervise all operations to ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
Field train and control/oversee the work of other technicians when necessary.
Complete daily production reports, keep track of work hours.
Frequently work independently.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
