Pay
To be determined on a per unit basis. (How many jobs are completed in the time frame)
Qualifications
1)Knowledge of telecom standards (HFC & fiber plant, both aerial and underground construction, including fiber, coax, poles, pedestals, nodes. 2)Understand OSP design for copper/fiber networks, including aerial, underground, and direct-buried installations. 3)Knowledge of cable design & OSP basic construction practices of cable systems. 4)Experience in performing permit data collection for aerial & underground applications is strongly preferred.
Other Requirements
1)Experience fielding & creating OSP Survey-determine proposed OSP construction pathway & Right of Entry into commercial buildings. 2) Basic understanding of OSP construction techniques, able placement & splicing specs. 3)Strong field assessment & note-taking skills. 4)Catapult Software experience preferred. 5)Ability to use tablet on location. 5)Requires self-motivated individual who possesses a high degree of detail in their work.
Job Description
Job requires the individual to have:
> 2+years of OSP experience (Relevant experience with AT&T, CTL, COMCAST, FPL, Fibernet, etc. is a plus).
> 2+years of cable mapping experience is preferred.
> Read and interpret construction prints, plant facility records and DOT/roadway plans.
Individual will perform the following:
> Perform walkout surveys to accurately collect, measure and record existing plant data on a provided print.
> Obtain the correct field information, record verification, document all details for aerial & underground telecommunications.
> Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer SOW and industry specifications.
> Travel locally for field assessments.
Other items to note:
> Must own your vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
> Must provide proof of insurance for general liability, workers' compensation, and auto coverage (No exceptions)
> Must be comfortable working outdoors in various environments for fielding assignments.
> Must own a table, IPAD or MS Surface.
> Must be authorized to work in the United States.
> Work hours may be flexible at times.
> Allows the individual to work freely on their own and manage his/her time.
> Subcontractor will receive training on the work tasks and various software that is required.

> Advanced knowledge of fiber and copper telecom plant.
