Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic cables and equipment
- Perform fiber splicing and termination
- Test and certify fiber optic cables using specialized equipment
- Install fiber optic lines aerial & underground to residential homes
- Conduct field service visits to customer locations for installations and repairs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols
- Experience working with fiber optic cables in a telecommunications or related field
- Proficiency in using hand tools for cable installation and termination
- Familiarity with fiber splicing techniques and equipment
- Mechanical knowledge for mounting and securing equipment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work off ladders/ bucket trucks & operate machinery safely
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
