Job Description
CAT5 Construction Services LLC., an industry leader in creating infrastructure for telecommunications, is currently seeking a construction supervisor/general foreman in Western Missouri. As a construction supervisor/general foreman, you will be responsible for providing daily leadership, oversight and direction for aerial and underground crews. This includes pre-con walkouts, locates, permitting, issuance of daily work assignments, field supervision, as-builts, QC, invoicing and other tasks. You will manage large groups of in-house and subcontract personnel ensuring collaboration and accountability. Quality assurance and safety are overriding goals along with the imperative demand to satisfy customer needs.
Here’s a highlight of what you will do:
- You will develop project schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure all stakeholders are informed on progress with % to completion through effective communication strategies.
- You will be responsible for the day to day activities in your location to include safety, traffic control, Department of Transportation requirements, damage mitigation and fleet management.
- You will be the subject matter expert on all aspects of your projects and will identify and solve any problems or issues that occur during the project timeline.
- You will provide regular reporting to senior management and have oversight of invoicing and As- builts.
This is some of what is required.
- Prior experience as a cable construction supervisor or similar role in the telecommunications industry. Preferably 2-5 years.
- You will have a deep understanding of fiber architecture.
- Must have knowledge of Aerial/Underground construction materials and tools.
- Aerial Construction- Fiber/Coax Construction Processes
- UG Construction- Drilling, Plowing, Trenching, Missile and Restoration Processes
- Fiber Splicing procedures and documentation
- You will need to have the ability to analyze and interpret data.
- You will need to be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the company and with stakeholders.
- Prior experience managing/leading employees and contractors.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
