Position Summary: Apex Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Engineer to join our team as a Construction Inspection specialist. This role will focus on ensuring the quality and compliance of underground and aerial construction projects, specifically pertaining to FTTH infrastructure deployment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections of ongoing and completed telecommunications construction projects.
Verify that active telecommunication construction work aligns with both customer expectations and Apex's high standards.
Thoroughly review and cross-reference internal documentation with project requirements, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
Communicate issues, lack of documentation, or compliance concerns to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
Address minor field installation issues as needed.
Utilize computer applications and mobile devices for reporting and communication.
Perform aerial and underground inspections using our proprietary ERP software (ProWorks) on tablets.
Document all inspection activities and upload pre- and post-construction photos within the ERP system (ProWorks).
Adhere to OSHA, state, and local safety standards.
Provide clear verbal and written communication regarding necessary corrective actions and potential resolutions for future improvements.
Qualifications:
Possession of a valid Driver's License.
1-3 years of relevant construction experience.
Demonstrated capability to work effectively in various weather conditions.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Willingness to travel and relocate as required.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Valid Work Authorization to work in the United States.
