Job Description
CAT5 Construction Services LLC., an industry leader in creating infrastructure for telecommunications, is currently seeking a Project Manager in Western Missouri. As Project Manager you will be responsible for providing leadership, oversight and direction for all aspects of our fiber node construction projects, including mainline aerial and underground construction activities. You will manage large groups of in-house and subcontract personnel ensuring collaboration and accountability. Quality assurance and safety are overriding goals along with the imperative demand to satisfy customer needs.
You will serve as the main point of contact for all stakeholders providing regular updates and ensuring clarity regarding expectations.
Here’s a highlight of what you will do:
• You will develop project schedules, coordinate resources, and ensure all stakeholders are informed on progress with % to completion through effective communication strategies.
• You will be responsible for the day to day activities in your location to include safety, traffic control, Department of Transportation requirements, damage mitigation and fleet management.
• You will be the subject matter expert on all aspects of your projects and will identify and solve any problems or issues that occur during the project timeline.
• You will provide regular reporting to senior management and have oversight of invoicing and As- builts.
This is some of what is required.
• You will need to have earned a post-secondary degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant work experiences. PMP certification is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Project Manager or similar role in the telecommunications industry. Preferably 2-5 years.
• You will have a deep understanding of fiber architecture.
• Must have knowledge of Aerial/Underground construction materials and tools.
o Aerial Construction- Fiber Construction Processes
o UG Construction- Drilling, Plowing, Trenching, Missile and Restoration Processes
Fiber Splicing procedures and documentation
• You will need to have the ability to analyze and interpret data.
• You will need to be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the company and with stakeholders.
• Prior experience managing/leading employees and contractors.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
