Job Description
Experienced linemen for Aerial Construction. Must be able to perform all required tasks to specs with little to no supervision. Initiative and clean workmanship is a must.
Position summary:
Aerial Lineman/Foreman is responsible for new fiber construction.
Tasks:
• Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Responds to and participates in emergency and outage situations that require heavy construction capabilities.
• Climb telephone poles in easement.
• Ensures plant construction meets customer standards.
• Assist in the training of inexperienced employees to become lineman.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles or equipment.
• Read maps
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs.
• It is the Linemen's responsibility to make sure he has all the materials needed for the job.
• Other Tasks as determined by Management.
