The fibers are blown from one end of the duct to the another. Subcontractor shall blow Fiber on completion of duct groups being completed and passed QA/QC, ensuring loops of fiber are left coiled inside chambers.
Subcontractor shall provide the NOC records of actual fiber blown and keep an updated Inventory of all components used.
1.2. Fiber Splicing: Fiber splicing involves joining two optical fibers together to create a continuous path for light transmission. It creates a permanent connections of optical fiber cable in fiber splice closures. Subcontractor shall install End Customer supplied Fanout cables between active cabinets or huts and cabinet or hut chambers where they are to be spliced on to the 144 Feeder or Metro cables within the chamber. Subcontractor shall provide the NOC records of Fanout cables installed and keep an updated Inventory of all components used.
1.3. Fiber Splice-Enclosure Installation: Fiber splice enclosures used in protecting and organizing optical fiber splices. It provides a secure environment for spliced fibers, shielding them from environmental factors such as moisture, dust, and physical damage. Subcontractor shall install End Customer supplied splice enclosures with mid-span loops as detailed in the work order. Contractor shall provide the NOC records of Splice Enclosure installed and keep an updated Inventory of all components used.
1.4. QA/QC: Subcontractor will be responsible to adhere End Customer’s QA/QC process and will make all the corrections wherever required after testing results to meet the QA/QC standards without any additional cost. Subcontractor shall complete an OTDR trace in accordance with TIA-FOA-4 for ISO/IEC11801 structured cabling of the terminated fiber and ensure that the link meets the IEEE802.3ba 2010 requirements for a 100GBASE-ER4 Engineered Link.
